@Ari – yes, I think this is true as well. But I also think this idea of giving our support to “lesser known” blogs will only reap benefits for the blogging community as a whole. And sure it’s not always a “tragedy” to be under-appreciated, I guess that’s one’s own perspective.

Well, it is a good idea, though I’m not sure if I consider under-appreciated blog as a “tragedy.” I think if one is serious enough about it, in time one can gain readership with dedication and persistence. Some blogs are harder to sell to, say, search engines — so they grow slower. Still, if you have quality offering, then readership can be built, if one chooses to.

I’m curious to see how this will turn out.

I really like this idea too. For now though, it will have to hang out in the back of my mind. Already can’t keep up with the blogs I’m subscribed to, so wouldn’t be a good reader and need to work on upping my post counts before I’d consider submitting my own site. (Currently I’m at once a week minimum with the occasional 2 posts).
